![]() (John 4:35-38)Īnd I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours and their works do follow them. I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours. And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth. And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together. Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields for they are white already to harvest. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire so shall it be in the end of this world. ![]() He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man The field is the world the good seed are the children of the kingdom but the tares are the children of the wicked one The enemy that sowed them is the devil the harvest is the end of the world and the reapers are the angels. Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest. (Jeremiah 5:24)īut when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the LORD our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.
